Young Professionals: Breakfast with the Board

Dear Young Professionals,

The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is pleased to invite you to the event "Young Professionals: Breakfast with the Board"!

The event will take place on 29th March (Wednesday) from 08:00 AM to 9:30 AM at 52/F, London Room, UBS, Two International Finance Centre.

This event will be the perfect occasion for you to meet three of our board members who play an active role within the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. We will get the chance to learn more about their success stories and the challenges they have faced in their years working in Hong Kong.

Throughout the breakfast, a round table will also be hosted for everyone to share about their experiences as a young professional in Hong Kong. Finally, this session will be a great opportunity for all of you to introduce yourself to fellow YPs and to stay connected in the future as we keep building our community.

Benno Jaeggi - Co-President of SwissChamHK

Benno joined the Board in October 2021 and is currently Co-President of the Chamber. After a long career in Financial Services in Hong Kong, he is now a consultant with Egon Zehnder, where he runs the Asian Corporate & Investment Banking and Fintech practices, and the global Blockchain practice. He earned a master's degree in Business and IT management from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and an MBA in Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

Michael Benz - Treasurer of SwissChamHK

Michael has been a board member since 2018 and is a resident of Hong Kong since 2003. Until 2016 he pursued a career in banking as regional and global head in UBS, Merrill Lynch and Standard Chartered Bank.

Since 2017 he has been focusing on technology driven innovation as an advisor and an investor to start-up companies and banks. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.

Bassam Salem - Board Member of SwissChamHK

Bassam joined the Board of the Swiss Chamber in 2019. He is a Senior Advisor at Mc Kinsey & Company and the former CEO of Citi Private Bank in Asia. Bassam was a founding partner of EFG Bank in Zurich and has a long history in the Wealth Management industry in New York, London, Zurich, Geneva, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He is a graduate of the Paris 1 Sorbonne University in Paris.

Started back in 2005, the Young Professionals (YP) Committee of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong has the main objective to create a vibrant platform for our younger members in the early stages of their career to start building their professional network and connect with peers amongst the Swiss business community and other chambers in Hong Kong. Our key mission as a committee is to propose and organise events, seminars, master classes and propose new experiences to the chamber's members.
