The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is very glad to invite you to the fourth event of the series "Invest in…" aiming to open the door to the rising class of alternative assets investment which have been the privilege of exclusive collectors, billionaires, or aficionados.

For this fourth episode, we have the privilege to welcome Phillips Auction House, the host of our first "Invest in..." event one year ago.

Their talented and experienced speaker, Paul Redmayne is going to share the different features of the various gemstones, trends, and insights to make sure that you have all the cards in hand to make a sound investment.

The exclusive event will be held on 28th October from 6:30 PM at Phillips, 14/F, St George's Building, 2 Ice House Street, Central and it will be followed by a networking session with drinks and canapés.

Phillips auction house was founded in London in 1796 and with just 7 departments worldwide, the 3 most important (20th Century & Contemporary Art, Jewels, and Watches) make up the Asia operation based here in Hong Kong.

With a strong focus on all things contemporary, the Jewels department consists of the auction arm and the private selling arm called Flawless.

The auction arm holds 4 live auctions per year: 2 in New York and 2 in Hong Kong, with Jewellery available to buy in online auctions or Flawless' online private selling exhibitions every other month of the year.

Paul Redmayne
Head of Flawless, Private Sales at Phillips
Paul Redmayne has been with Phillips since 2019 where he heads up Flawless, the private sales arm of the Jewels department.
Paul started his career at Cartier in 1997 while studying French at King’s College London. This lead to a full-time job with Cartier and Paul subsequently spent 20 years in luxury retail working in London, Paris, Courchevel, and Hong Kong for various houses including Harry Winston, LVMH-owned Fred Paris, Piaget, and Moussaieff.
In 2017, Paul made the transition to auction where he worked as Head of Sale for Jewellery at Bonhams, before moving to Phillips to take up his current role.
In addition to the one-on-one sourcing of stones and jewels for clients, Flawless’ focus is on contemporary jewellery designers and Paul organizes private selling exhibitions – either with one specific designer, or themed such as the recent “Woman To Woman” exhibition or upcoming “New Modernism” exhibition, which celebrates the centenary of the Modernist movement through a contemporary prism.
