๐Ÿ’ก About the Speakers and moderators:

We are honored to have Laurent Gimenez, Head of North Asia at Hilti Group, and Wai Ching CHEUNG, Chief Risk Officer of Swire Pacific.

They will both share insights about different crisis and how they did and are navigating thought them.


Laurent Gimenez is the Head of North Asia in Hilti Group. He has more than 20 years' experience as Head of the Region and General Manager in both Asia and Europe.

He navigated through different crisis during those years, from 2008 Financial Crisis to 2020 Covid crisis.

He was also involved in the turn around of some Hilti organization across Asia.

Wai Ching CHEUNG is the Chief Risk Officer of Swire Pacific, he is responsible for the Asia-based conglomerate's Risk Management and Insurance Management strategy. He has over 20 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Financial Audit, having spent the last 16 years leading Operational Risk Management practices in global insurers such as AIA and Prudential. Prior to that, he was an external auditor in PwC (HK) and E&Y (London).


We are also glad to have two great moderators to host this event, Stephen Ko and Catherine Chan.

Stephen KO is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Raymond Industrial Limited (0229.HK) and advises international technological companies on scaling up organizations for enhanced business performance, connectivity, innovation, and sustainability.


Catherine Chan, Head of Safety and Operations Risk, HAECO Group, develops standards in operational excellence through effective risk management and the implementation of robust business contingency strategies. With over 15 years of dedicated leadership in risk and quality, she has honed her expertise in safety and crisis management, leveraging a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.


She served as the chair of the operations safety technical group at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where she supported the aviation industry through various challenges and crises for more than five years.
