The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is delighted to present its upcoming event, the 'Mid-Year Economic Outlook', scheduled for September 13th, 2023. This event is organized in close collaboration with the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, who will host their own outlook on September 19th, 2023.

Building upon the success of our previous outlook in January, this discussion will center around navigating recent geopolitical frictions, key megatrends such as the rise of generative AI, the impact of aging demographics and low-carbon transition, as well as central bank policies in response to inflationary pressures and supply constraints. Additionally, we will explore investment strategies in the context of China's economic distress, the potential shift away from US dollar dominance, the resurgence of bonds, and the significance of the Big Seven tech stocks.

We are honored to welcome esteemed speakers from renowned Swiss financial institutions who will share their in-depth views on the economy and capital markets:

- Eva Lee, Managing Director, Head of Greater China Equities, UBS Global Wealth Management Chief Investment Office

- Carlos Casanova, Senior Economist Asia, Union Bancaire Privée

- Stefan Hofer, Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist, LGT Bank

- Richard Tang, Executive Director, Head Research Hong Kong, Julius Baer

Bassam Salem, Chairman of the Financial Services Committee and Board Member at the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, alongside Dr. Daniel Brunner, Chairman of the Finance Sub-Committee at the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Singapore will serve as panel moderators. We extend our sincere gratitude to UBS, our gold sponsorfor hosting this panel.

The event will take place at the Auditorium of UBS office (52/F, Two International Finance Centre, 8 Finance Street). The program will commence at 18:30 and conclude at 20:00, followed by a cocktail reception.
