Darrell Leong currently holds dual positions of VP, Strategy and Program Delivery, East Asia and Australia Region, as well as GM Taiwan for Philip Morris International (PMI). He is currently based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Prior to joining PMI in 2019, Darrell was the Head of Greater China for Bose Corporation, based out of Shanghai. He was responsible for the overall company performance across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, leading close to 1000 colleagues across the three markets. Before assuming this role, Darrell was the APAC Strategy Director for Bose Corporation.
Before Bose Corporation, Darrell was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Co, where he led consulting engagements with clients across Asia, covering a number of industries including consumer, travel and logistics, and telecommunications.
Darrell began his career as a professional military officer in the Republic of Singapore Navy where he spent close to a decade holding various leadership and operational positions.
He holds a Masters of Financial Engineering and Masters of Aerospace Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
Based in Hong Kong, Benno Jaeggi is active in Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services and FinTech practices with a particular focus on Investment Banking and Markets.
He leverages his deep experience in Corporate Banking, Sales & Trading, Capital Markets and FinTech as a respected advisor to clients in Hong Kong and across Asia. Before joining Egon Zehnder, Benno was an executive with the ANXONE cryptocurrency exchange, one of the largest digital asset businesses in Asia.
Prior to that he spent more than a decade in Wholesale Banking and on the Markets trading floors at ABN AMRO, RBS and ANZ Bank, most recently as the Global COO for Distribution and Origination board member of Balance Health Limited, a holistic health and corporate wellness business advising individuals and corporate clients across Asia.
Benno began his career as a venture capital analyst. Benno earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration and IT management from the University St. Gallen in Switzerland and an MBA in Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
