Companies in the B2C sector are heavily impacted by the Shanghai lockdown and related COVID measures in the Yangtze river delta. Their local or imported products can't be sold and are oftentimes locked up in a warehouse until further notice.

Similarly, businesses in the logistics industry face unprecedented challenges due to the strict enforcement of the lockdown measures. They result in the interruption of the basic road traffic and consequently of the entire supply chain in the region, from the port to the end consumer.

To discuss these challenges and possible solutions, we have invited two proficient speakers for this webinar. Werner Schuppisser, who is the CEO at MYW / SinoGourmet, is in charge of importing Kambly biscuits and Movenpick ice cream to the Chinese market. Werner will talk about the following:

  • Access to imported products at the ports, warehouses, and distribution centers
  • Delivery to customers in Shanghai and other places in China
  • Current challenges for employees and how to make the best out of it

Our second speaker is Glenn Bai, who is the Head of Sales, Greater China, at the Singapore-headquartered YCH Free Port (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, based in the Lingang Logistics Park in Shanghai. Glenn will cover the following topics:

  • Domestic transportation in the Shanghai area and beyond
  • Sea freight coming into China
  • Airfreight destined for the Chinese market
  • The general outlook for the industry

The webinar will be held online on Friday, 22 April, at 4 PM.
